I thought it best to actually log in for the first time in a while last night, and I did so to find that Removing Purple Fringing was featured last week (I think) as a daily deviation many thanks to =Zaichick for suggesting it, and ^thespook for choosing it!

I'm sorry I don't have time to reply to all of the comments that have appeared on that and other images since I've been away for a few months. Reading the comments from the fringing tutorial, I have these things to say:

i) Thank you
ii) I have no idea why it got picked as a DD either - it's something I did when I got bored. Please don't be bitter because something happened that's out of my control!
iii) I'm glad it helped some of you. I didn't know about the method until not long before I wrote the tutorial.

Also, I finally reached 10,000 pageviews. I know for some of you this happened long ago and at a much more rapid rate (ahem, Kristi, ahem ) but I'm proud of it. It's testament to my hard work on here over the years and the support I've received from the community over that time. Thank you all very much.

As for reappearing on here, I have photos left from Canada, as well as some recent ones both from Athens and from Cornwall. Hopefully I can get a few of those added onto here in the not-so-distant future. I am, however, starting uni again in not too long, so things might be a bit slow until I get settled down.

Personally though I just had to get ill when I was down in sunny Cornwall, didn't I? Two of the days I woke up feeling like death incarnate. Since then I've just had an annoying cough and a bungy nose. Oh well. I hope it's not an omen for another winter of discontent. Well, health-wise discontent anyway.

In other news, it's international talk like a pirate day in three days. Yarrrrrr.

Been almost two months since I wrote a journal entry so here goes. I've started sorting through the photos that are waiting to be submitted to dA from my other machine now. 'Curious' was the first one, and there's some more to come when I get around to them.

What's happened past few weeks? Hmm... Oh well I've gotten myself a lovely girlfriend, I've almost finished uni for the year, I've gotten started on my project of a guitar distortion pedal (I'll post a sound clip when it's done), and I've had a tonne of work piled onto me for the next few weeks.

Web site wise, I'm cancelling the ILTA project because I've had a better idea (the domain doesn't expire until 2008 though), and I have a few designs running through my mind for GFsoft.

Again, unfortunately I don't have the time to sort through the... *checks*... 1,012 deviations in my inbox, but I'll get around to it soon hopefully. Oh, last thing whilst I remember, the radio show should be up soon too on the Xtreme site; I'll have to pester the scheduling director because they seem to be a bit lazy with getting new content on there.

Short journal entry since it's late, so here goes. I'm making my way through the photos I have from Canada at the moment. Trying to edit them just how I want them, whilst working around other things that are going on right now.

I changed my user icon after having the old one for so long. I think this one is more modern, more sleek, and has a fresh look to it. Hopefully it'll help present an image of me that more closely resembles how I wish my art to be seen.

I'm going to university in just under two weeks, and it's my first time living away from home. It'll be a bit of a shock to the system, I'm sure, but I think I'll cope. I'll be home on weekends too, so luckily I can still see my friends that are staying here, etc. I'll also have the Internet there, and my camera, so I'll still be active on dA and elsewhere.
